Avenues of service


Rotary Club of Belgrade realized activities in Rotary’s five avenues of service that are philosophical and practical framework for club operation, as follows:

  1. Service to the club as the first avenue of service, including activities undertaken by each member within this club, to help the club function successfully;
  2. Service to the professions as the second avenue of service, is intended to promote high ethical standards in business and profession, recognizing the value of decent jobs, and nurtures the ideal of service as the tendency of each of these professions, which means that the members in their personal and business life guided by the principles of Rotary
  3. Community Service, the third avenue of service, includes a variety of activities undertaken by the members, individually or together with others, in order to improve the quality of life for citizens living in their community;
  4. International service as the fourth avenue of service, including those activities that members undertake to advance international understanding, goodwill, and peace by nurturing acquaintance with people from other countries, learning about their culture, customs, accomplishments, aspirations and problems, by studying, correspondence and cooperation in all club activities and projects that are undertaken to help people in other countries;
  5. Service to a new generation as the fifth avenue of service, supports all of the positive changes that are taking by teenagers and young adults through leadership development activities, involvement in local service projects and in the international community, and exchange programs that enrich and nurtur world peace and cultural understanding.
